Twitter reacts to death of "Parts Unknown" star Anthony Bourdain

Anthony Bourdain, noted author, chef and star of the popular “Parts Unknown” is dead.

The likable Bourdain, who made us all wish we had him as a traveling and dining companion (most of the time) , in an apparent suicide while in France filming an episode for his show, according to CNN, which aired his show.

Twitter reacted with condolences and posts urging people who were contemplating suicide to reach out for help.Relate

Many contained the number for the National Suicide Prevention Hotline 1-800-273-8255, which is open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Anthony Bourdain made the world seem smaller in the most lovely way and gave us all access to cultures we might never see...and he did it while making us feel like family. He will be greatly missed.

In 2008 I worked at Townsend Lobster in Provincetown. Anthony Bourdain came in with like 20 family members. Kids running everywhere. He sassed me about not knowing the menu prices, tried guessing the lobster weight, twinkled his blue eyes, and bought lunch for everyone.
