A Special Wish Foundation is seeking volunteers for the Glow Fore Wishes Golf Scramble Fundraiser. A Special Wish Foundation's Dayton Chapter will host its third annual Glow Fore Wishes glow-in-the-dark golf scramble on Friday night, Aug. 24. This annual fundraiser event helps grant the wishes of local Miami Valley children diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, raffle ticket sales/contests, and to help direct teams on the greens. This event will take place at the Golf Club at Yankee Trace in Centerville.
United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton (URS) is seeking volunteers to attend local festivals in the Dayton area during the summer to promote the 9th Annual URS Rubber Duck Regatta and sell $5 Duck Adoptions. The Rubber Duck Regatta is the release and river race of up to 15,000 rubber ducks in the Great Miami River. All proceeds from this event "enhance the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities" in our community. Specific festivals and duck adoption sales dates are listed below.
