2 in stable condition, 1 in custody following shooting in Warren County

Two people are in the hospital in stable condition and a Piqua man is in custody following a shooting in Warren County Monday afternoon.

According to the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting was reported at the intersection of Lytle Road and Ferry Road in Wayne Twp.

Around 12:52 p.m., deputies responded to a report of shots being fired into vehicles, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s office said in a release Monday evening that they had arrested a 31-year-old man from Piqua, who is being held in the Miami County Jail on preliminary charges of felonious assault pending extradition.

The sheriff’s office said that the shooting was an isolated incident and there was no further threat to the community.

Both victims have received medical treatment and are recovering, the release said.
