Serious injuries suspected in two-vehicle crash in Miami County

Serious injuries are suspected after six people were hurt during a two-vehicle crash in Troy Wednesday.

One person with suspected serious injuries was taken to Miami Valley Hospital via CareFlight, according to a crash report filed by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office. Troy EMS took five people to Upper Valley Medical Center, including two people with possible serious injuries and three with minor injuries.

The crash was reported around 7:47 p.m. after a 2005 Toyota Camry traveling west on Peterson Road failed to yield to a 2019 Ford Ranger, according to the report. The truck hit the car on the front right side and then went off the road, hitting a sign post. The car also slid off the road and into a field.

There were four people in the car, including a passenger who suffered possible serious injuries and was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. The driver and other two passengers were taken to Upper Valley Medical, along with the driver of the truck and a passenger.
