A yellow Ford truck with a dump-style bed on the back was stolen Jan. 1, 2021, from a Kettering storage facility.

Kettering police are asking for the public’s help to identify suspects whose overnight attempt to steal an RV was an “epic fail.”

While one of the suspects was behind the wheel of a large motor home, the driver damaged several campers parked nearby at a Kettering storage facility. The suspects then parked the RV and instead stole a yellow 2003 Ford-550 with a dump bed on the back, police said.

Kettering police posted surveillance images New Year’s Day on social media, calling the initial theft attempt “an epic fail.”

Anyone who can ID the suspects’ sedan or the dump truck or have any information on the crime is asked to contact Kettering police detective Greg Stout at 937-296-3258.
