The 2020 Beavercreek Popcorn Festival is another popular Miami Valley event canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The annual event is held the weekend after Labor Day, and organizers said it will return next year on Sept. 11 and Sept. 12, 2021, in front of Beavercreek Plaza at Dayton-Xenia Road.

The family-friendly festival features food, entertainment, crafts, children’s activities, a car show, 5K and specialties made with popcorn.

“This was a difficult decision carefully made after reviewing information from the state of Ohio and Greene County health departments as well as the city of Beavercreek,” festival organizers posted Monday on the event’s Facebook page. “Our Popcorn Festival Committee wanted to do what was best and safe for our vendors, guests and the community.”
