Crews called to apartment fire on South Main Street in Dayton

Crews were called Friday night to an apartment fire in Dayton.

The fire was reported just before 10 p.m. at 344 S. Main St.

Police helped people escape the building, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.

There was concern the three-story apartment building next door also could be affected by the fire, according to initial reports.
