The eggs will be on display in the art institute rotunda starting Wednesday through the end of the month.
On social media, the institute said the eggs were created by artists Tanya Osadca and Aka Pereyma, who both have Ukrainian heritage.
It also thanked Robert O’Neal and Christina Pereyma O’Neal, who loaned the collection of fragile art to the museum.
We are grateful to Robert O’Neal and Christina Pereyma O’Neal for lending these fragile (and in some instances broken) eggshells to the museum, as a show of support for, and reminder of the struggles currently faced by, the people of Ukraine. 🇺🇦 pic.twitter.com/LjPRX5YxR9
