Fairborn house fire being investigated as arson

A Fairborn house was set on fire Saturday afternoon.

Fairborn crews responded to reports of a house fire around noon at the 2000 block of Henry Street, according to Sgt. Nathan Penrod for the Fairborn Police Department.

Penrod said one subject was transported to a nearby hospital for a medical and mental evaluation by Fairborn police.

“We are investigating this as an arson so the suspect information cannot be released at this time,” he said. “No charges have been filed as of today.”
