A 47-year-old man is in stable condition after he was hit by a vehicle just before 8 p.m. near Kipling Drive and St. James Avenue.

He was taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries, police said.

A vehicle was going north on Kipling Drive when it struck the man near the intersection.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a Ford E-350 on the right side of the road and then collided with a Chevrolet Spark parked on the left side of the road, according to police.

The vehicle reportedly left the scene without stopping.
