The motorcycle was headed north on Far Hills Avenue and the car was southbound, Oakwood police Lt. Damian Baggett said.
Northbound Far Hills Avenue was closed near Dixon Avenue, and Patterson Road was closed near East Shantz Avenue, Oakwood police said.
The crash scene was cleared just after 8:30 p.m., Baggett said.
The motorcyclist was the only person taken to a hospital after the crash, which remains under investigation.
