Interstate 70 East has reopened after crashes near the Englewood-Clayton border were reported Friday morning.

The eastbound lanes were temporarily closed near Ohio 49.

In addition to the crashes, an Ohio State Highway Patrol dispatcher said multiple vehicles had slid off the highway.

Additional details about the number of crashes or if any injuries have been reported were not available.

Heavy snow showers exited the region late Friday morning, but additional light snowfall is still possible, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Any additional accumulation will be limited. However, motorists should be cautious and watch for slick spots as freezing temperatures tonight could cause icy patches on the road.
