A man was shot three times Monday evening in Springfield.

Police and medics responded around 6:10 p.m. to the 800 block of Cedar Street for the shooting.

Cedar Street was blocked at North Shaffer Street as police investigate.

The gunshot victim was taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center. From there, he was to be transferred by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. His name and condition were not immediately available.
