Clearcreek Twp. is planning to replace a large culvert pipe that crosses Bunnell Hill Road next week starting Monday.

Township officials said the location of this pipe is between Crown Point Drive and Crown Point Meadows, approximately 0.7 mile north of the temporarily closed intersection of Bunnell Hill and Lytle-Five Points roads.

Officials said the reason why the township is doing this work now is to take advantage of the closure of the intersection at Bunnell Hill and Lytle-Five Points roads, which, temporarily, effectively eliminates through traffic in the area.

All area residents will be able to easily detour through either the Brookside/Greens of Bunnell Hill subdivisions, or the Crown Point subdivision in order to head north on Bunnell Hill/Sheehan roads.

Motorists who live in subdivisions east of Bunnell Hill Road can detour through the subdivision’s internal road network to Crown Point Meadows in order to head north on Bunnell Hill Road.

Those who live in subdivisions west of Bunnell Hill Road will utilize the internal road network to navigate to Sandelwood Street to access Bunnell Hill Road to head north. The posted detour for local traffic will guide motorists to turn east on Crown Point Drive, north on Crown Point Meadows, and north on Bunnell Hill Road, and in reverse if heading south.
