Deputies arrived and found a male who had been hit by a car. Medics transported him to Kettering Health Dayton, where he succumbed to his injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. The car left before deputies arrived on scene.
A preliminary investigation indicated a white sedan was going north on North Main Street when it hit the pedestrian as he was crossing the street.
The sedan was seen stopping in the center lane before continuing north on North Main Street, according to the sheriff’s office.
The crash temporarily closed North Main Street in both directions.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office’s Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate.
