Reporter Avery Kreemer, who covers the Statehouse and state issues for the Dayton Daily News, will author this updated newsletter. From his experience in the halls of the legislature, Avery will bring a fresh perspective on what’s happening and why it matters to Dayton-area residents; keep tabs on the southwest Ohio delegation and legislation impacting our region; and answer key questions about the issues.

The newsletter will be in inboxes at 6 p.m. each Thursday beginning Thursday, Feb. 15. Click here to sign up for the updated Ohio Politics.

Avery is a graduate of Ohio University who joined our organization as a reporter with the Journal-News covering Butler County before moving into the Statehouse role. His reporting has been instrumental in helping our community understand the August 2023 Issue 1 election, the passage of abortion rights, the move to recreational marijuana and the implications for Ohio and other key moves of local legislators.
