A significant winter storm is underway across the region, with moderate to heavy snowfall and prolonged period of bitterly cold conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Snow amounts of 10-16 inches are expected across the region.

Here are snow totals reported so far to the NWS’s Wilmington office:

Butler County

Middletown: 11 inches at 9:29 a.m.

Ross Twp: 9.5 inches at 7:30 a.m.

Hamilton: 9 inches at 7:45 a.m.

Monroe: 8 inches at 6 a.m.

Greene County

Beavercreek: 10.5 inches at 8:30 a.m.

Bellbrook: 10.5 inches at 9 a.m.

Xenia: 9.5 inches at 7:45 a.m.

Fairborn: 9 inches at 7:30 a.m.

Miami County

Troy: 7.5 inches at 9:30 a.m.

Montgomery County

Trotwood: 12 inches at 9 a.m.

Moraine: 10.8 inches at 9:30 a.m.

Kettering: 9.5 inches at 9 a.m.

Miamisburg: 9.5 inches at 8 a.m.

New Lebanon: 9 inches at 9 a.m.

Riverside: 9 inches at 8:45 a.m.

Union: 6.5 inches at 7 a.m.

Vandalia: 6.4 inches at 7 a.m.

Dayton: 4.7 inches at 4:14 a.m.

Warren County

Lebanon: 9 inches at 10 a.m.

Springboro: 8 inches at 7:45 a.m.
