Woman hospitalized after shooting in Dayton

A woman was taken to a local hospital after a shooting early Tuesday morning in Dayton.

Police and medics were called around 2:45 a.m. to the 400 block of Delaware Avenue on a report of a shooting, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center records.

Emergency crews found one woman who had been shot. Medics took her to Miami Valley Hospital.

Records said that police have a male suspect, but that a K9 unit attempting to track the suspect did not find anyone.
