Police in Richmond said they have arrested one person in connection with a drive-by shooting at local McDonald's on Friday afternoon.

The shooting happened at the McDonald's at East Main Street and 17th Street.

Officers said they arrested 29-year-old Valerie Grubbs at her home.  She is being questioned about the shooting and charged with two counts of attempted murder.

According to police, they are looking for 20-year-old Chad Malone.

Police said a woman, who was driving the car was shot twice in the stomach, while her passenger, a man, was hit in the arm.

The victims were sitting in the drive-through line when a vehicle came in from the opposite direction through the parking lot. Police said the man who was sitting in the passenger seat of that car fired off six shots at the victims.

Officers said both victims are in their 20s. According to police, they believe that the shooting was not a random drive-by. They said they believe that the shooter and the victims knew each other.

However, officers are not sure how.

Lt. Jon Bales said, "It was pretty chaotic at 3:15 in the afternoon on a Friday. So, a lot of traffic, a lot of onlookers, offers and emergency personal here at the scene."

According to police, the woman who was shot was treated and released from a local hospital. However, the man who shot was taken to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
