Body Found In Mad River Identified

Officials in Clark County said they have identified the body of a woman who was found in a local river last week.

The victim has been identified as Angela Hanaway, 35, of Clark County. Authorities said they are treating the woman’s death as a homicide.

Hanaway’s body was found June 10 in the Mad River about a quarter mile west of Route 68 in Clark County.

Investigators said they used dental and medical records to confirm her identity. A cause of death has not been determined, but authorities said Hanaway’s death is a homicide and they are now seeking information about what may have caused her death.
