UPDATE @ 9:00 p.m.: Deputies aren’t saying anything about the vehicle crash that snapped a power pole and initially left an estimated 1,852 DP&L customers without power.
At last check, 37 customers are still without power and electric service for them will not be restored until the pole is replaced later tonight, said Tom Tatham, DP&L operations director.
Salem Avenue is still shut down at this hour as Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies continue their investigation.
A crash involving a vehicle into a pole on Salem Avenue at Curundu Avenue has left more than 1,800 customers without power this evening.
According to the DP&L power outage map, 1,881 are without power in the area.
The crash, reported at 7:26 p.m., caused the pole to snap and left power lines touching RTA lines, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch has confirmed.
