4-vehicle crash traps 2 infants in car on its side in Dayton

A car carrying a woman and two infants turned onto its side tonight during a four-vehicle crash in Dayton.

Police said a Porsche driver headed south on North Gettysburg Avenue ran a red light, striking two cars at the intersection with North James H. McGee Boulevard. The Porsche then struck a third car in the north lanes of Gettysburg Avenue before fleeing, Dayton police said.

The occupants of another car involved in the crash also fled the scene, according to officers.

The two infants were momentarily trapped in the car. The babies and woman were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries, police said.

The crash remains under investigation.

One car was on its top tonight after a three-vehicle crash in Dayton.

The traffic crash was reported at 7:10 p.m. at North Gettysburg Avenue and North James H. McGee Boulevard.

It’s not clear how many people were injured, and the extent of their injuries.

Police are investigating the crash.
