Crash on I-75 south in Butler County sends two people to the hospital

A crash on Interstate 75 south on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, caused a major traffic backup near union Centre Boulevard.

West Chester Twp. emergency crews transported two people to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on southbound Interstate 75 near Union Centre Boulevard.

West Chester spokeswoman Barb Wilson said two people were taken to West Chester Hospital but “they were not considered serious injuries.”

The township’s fire trucks are still on scene help the Ohio State Patrol with traffic.

Three vehicles were involved in the crash and emergency crews were called to the scene around 8 a.m.

The right lane is still shut down in that area that is currently a construction zone for the Union Centre Boulevard interchange project.

Traffic maps are showing the back-up goes up the Ohio 129 exit.
