A Lakota West High School grad now playing for FC Cincinnati made a stop back in his hometown Monday.
Matt Bahner, a defender for FC Cincinnati and a Lakota West graduate, visited Hoxworth North in West Chester Twp. today to thank people for making blood donations.
Bahner was joined by teammate Paul Nicholson for the appearance, which is a part of Hoxworth’s “FC Cincinnati Week.”
“We just wanted to come down here and show our support, meet some fans, show our support for people giving blood. It’s a very important thing,” he said.
Besides blood donation, Bahner also talked about the team’s upcoming match against Miami FC on Aug. 2.
“Certainly it’s going to be a tough match, but I think we’ll be ready for it,” he said.
Hoxworth North is located at 7844 Kingland Drive, West Chester Twp. For more information about being a blood donor, visit www.hoxworth.org.
