FC Cincinnati players thank blood donors in Butler County

A Lakota West High School grad now playing for FC Cincinnati made a stop back in his hometown Monday.

Matt Bahner, a defender for FC Cincinnati and a Lakota West graduate, visited Hoxworth North in West Chester Twp. today to thank people for making blood donations.

Bahner was joined by teammate  Paul Nicholson for the appearance, which is a part of Hoxworth’s “FC Cincinnati Week.”

“We just wanted to come down here and show our support, meet some fans, show our support for people giving blood. It’s a very important thing,” he said.

Besides blood donation, Bahner also talked about the team’s upcoming match against Miami FC on Aug. 2.

“Certainly it’s going to be a tough match, but I think we’ll be ready for it,” he said.
