City Of Piqua To Celebrate 26-7 Win For State Title

The Piqua Indians win their first state title in Division II high school football Friday night at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium in Massillon over the Pickerington Tigers 26 to 7. Let the party begin!

A welcome-back celebration is scheduled for Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in Garbry Gym at Piqua High School.

Doors open at 2:15 p.m.

The Piqua High School Football Moms will be selling championship T-shirts.

Everyone is encouraged to wear Piqua colors, red and blue, to show their pride in the team, coaches, cheerleaders, and the accomplishments of the student-athletes.

Residents got their first glimpes of the state champions and their trophy Saturday afternoon during the annual holiday parade through the streets of downtown Piqua.
