Convicted Rapist Jailed For Same Crime

Police said convicted rapist David Lovato, 36, brutally beat and repeatedly raped two women on Monday. They said both attacks happened within hours of each other.

Police said Lovato is a registered sexual predator, who had just been released from prison in October on two rape convictions.

Authorities said Lovato met his first victim at a local nightclub early Monday morning and asked her to drive him home. Police said he brutally beat and raped the 19-year-old woman.

Investigators said the rape and beating took place in the victim’s car in an alley near North Main Street and Shoup Mill Road.

Authorities said 14 hours later, Lovato brutally raped and beat a woman inside a Dayton garage. Police said he grabbed the woman as she walking on North Main Street.

Investigators said Lovato is a sexual predator and was released after serving 15 years in prison on a maximum 25-year double rape sentence. Police also believe Lovato would expose himself to others on North Main Street.
