Dayton police for the second time in two days have charged a pair in connection to public sex acts.

Dayton police say Paul Heflin, 29, and Candis Hamilton, 27, are facing public indecency charges after being found Tuesday evening in the area of Burkham Center Park, 803 S. Broadway St.

Police were first called to the area for a suspicious vehicle, a black SUV parked in a wooded area for an hour.

"It was partially sunny out and children were playing on the basketball court and playground equipment," wrote the Dayton police officer who located the vehicle parked behind a row of evergreen trees.

The officer indicates in the police report he saw the two "engaged in sexual intercourse."

Heflin and Hamilton stopped and put their clothes on after police activated an air horn.
