According to the affidavit, McGairk told a detective she briefly lived with another uncharged woman, but was kicked out due to issues with Thompson, known as “Tink.” The woman told McGairk to get her things from a white Chevrolet Impala.
“McGairk stated that she and (the 17-year-old) got into the Impala to protect themselves due to believing that the situation was a ‘set up,’ ” a detective wrote. “McGairk stated that a female named Jug (Dunbar) approached the vehicle” with McGairk’s old girlfriend and Thompson.
“McGairk stated that Dunbar tapped the window with a semiautomatic pistol and told them to get out of the vehicle. McGairk stated that Thompson was able to get (the 17-year-old) out of the vehicle and began assaulting her.”

The detective wrote that McGairk said she was held back at gunpoint by Dunbar before she was able to intervene and told the 17-year-old to run.
That’s when Thompson got in the Impala and ran down the 17-year-old twice and both vehicles fled the area, according to the affidavit.
At 6:37 p.m. Oct. 31, a detective located the Charger, which had both defendants and McGairk’s ex-girlfriend inside, according to the affidavit.
