Whether it’s been cell phone stores in Huber Heights or Beavercreek, an auto parts business in Dayton or individuals in an apartment in Xenia, groups of armed robbers have been taking cash and goods.
A look at the some of the latest armed robberies committed by groups:
March 1, Kettering: A police K-9 was unable to locate five suspects who allegedly wore masks, displayed handguns and demanded cash from a store clerk at the BP at 2361 Smithville Road.
The robbers hit the gas station at about 1:30 a.m. Thursday and fled on foot. Kettering police have asked anyone with information to call 937-296-2555.
Feb. 22, Dayton: Two armed men held up the AutoZone at 3818 West Third Street at about 10:30 a.m., the business reported to 911.
The men allegedly fled in a vehicle after the robbery.
Feb. 16, Beavercreek: A Verizon store employee at The Greene said a group of five or six masked, armed males barged through the rear door of the business as the employee was going to close.
At least 50 phones were taken around 9 p.m. that day. The suspects were seen heading toward Interstate 675.
Feb. 1, Huber Heights: Seven males, many with guns, robbed the AT&T store in the middle of the afternoon and made physical threats to employees and customers.
Caleb W. Johnson, 18, and six juveniles have been arrested and are being prosecuted. The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking to transfer all the juveniles to adult court.

Jan. 25, Xenia: A man said three masked men — at least one with a gun — "busted in" to his apartment and took his wallet.
The incident happened at about 4:15 a.m. that day on Trumbull Street. One man was allegedly beaten with the gun.
