Bellbrook graduate a victim in deadly stabbing

A fatal stabbing in Columbus over the weekend that claimed the life of a 2012 Bellbrook High School graduate was a case of misplaced revenge, according to the Associated Press.

Police said the suspect was trying to avenge an earlier attack on a friend when he stabbed John Snyder, 21, according to the Associated Press.

Snyder was wearing a jacket matching a description of someone involved in the earlier attack.

The victim, John Snyder, graduated in 2012 from Bellbrook High School.

The school sent a message of condolence to Snyder’s family through Twitter.

Police in Columbus are investigating a deadly stabbing in which the victim has ties to the Dayton area.

Officers responded to the stabbing report shortly after 3 a.m. and found 21-year-old John Austin Snyder critically injured in the 1200 block of Summit Street near the Ohio State University campus, according to the Columbus police report.

Snyder was taken to OSU’s hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The victim is a student from the Dayton area, according to Columbus police.

It’s unknown which school the victim was attending..

Officers arrested Alexander N. Delap, 23, on suspicion of murder.

Investigators are expected to search the suspect’s off-campus home, which sits a few blocks from North High Street.
