Burglar caught stealing noodles inside home

A crime was thwarted on Friday evening when a man came home to find the burglar standing in his living room.

Dayton police were called to a home on East Bruce Avenue at 5:17 p.m. on reports of a suspicious person.

Karl Henderson was witnessed running down the street away from a home he allegedly robbed, according to what a witness told police.

A man told officers he came home just after 5 p.m. and found Henderson standing in his living room holding a bag full of items from around the house.

Henderson then threw the bag at the victim before fleeing the house, according to a police report.

Police caught up with Henderson as he was running and arrested him on suspicion of unarmed robbery, a felony. He was taken to Montgomery County Jail.

The items inside the bag included a DVD, several packs of noodles and batteries.
