2 caught with meth-making tools in Darke

Two men remained in jail Monday night after they were arrested while carrying meth manufacturing tools … in a Spiderman backpack, according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Adam Sturgill and Matthew Bowlin, both in their 20s, were arrested just after 1 p.m. in an alley off of Ohio Street in Greenville, authorities said. They are in the Darke County Jail on drug-related charges.

They were carrying items used to manufacture methamphetamine in a Spiderman-branded children’s-size backpack, according to the sheriff’s office.

The sheriff’s narcotics unit and Greenville police made the arrest.

Law enforcement agencies urge citizens to contact the sheriff’s office at (937) 548-2020 or the anonymous tip line for Crime Stoppers at (937) 547-1661 to report drug activity.
