Centerville police seek man accused of assaulting ex-girlfriend

A 41-year-old man is wanted by police for allegedly entering his ex-girlfriend’s apartment uninvited last month and then assaulting her and keeping her there against her will.

The Centerville Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find Brett W. Rutledge who is possibly living out of his car, described as a Dodge Charger.

A Montgomery County grand jury on Sept. 25 indicted Rutledge for aggravated burglary, abduction and domestic violence, all felony charges, in connection with the Sept. 1 incident on Westerfield Drive in Centerville.

Anyone with information on the Rutledge’s whereabouts is urged to call Centerville police at 937-433-7661.
