Police were searching for a tan or light blue older model Ford Crown Victoria or Lincoln Grand Marquis with a cloth top on Thursday night that was involved in a shooting in the city.
Dayton police and medics were called around 8:30 p.m. to Marathon gas station, 118 N. James H. McGee Blvd. A 911 caller from the gas station said a car pulled into the parking lot with woman inside who had been shot.
The victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital with unknown injuries, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.
The shooting actually happened less than a mile away on Germantown Street just west of South James H. McGee Boulevard. That’s where police spotted cartridge casings in the street.
