Dayton man pleads guilty to child rape charges

A Dayton man who was previously accused of rape but never convicted pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Common Pleas court Monday to multiple counts of child rape and sexual battery.

Wilton Youngblood, 47, could be sentenced to up to 37 years in prison. His sentence will be decided on Oct. 21.

He pleaded guilty to numerous counts of rape of victims younger than 13 and younger than 10, sexual battery and corruption of a minor.

The charges involved multiple victims who are related to Youngblood.

In 2003, Youngblood was charged with raping a child but the case was dismissed because of a lack of evidence, according to court documents.
