Dayton police arrest 1 after chase

UPDATE@12:29p.m.

The vehicle, a Grand Prix, fled from a traffic stop at Third Street and Huffman Avenue; it was not a stolen vehicle, said Dayton Sgt. John Sullivan.

Sullivan said an officer attempted to stop the vehicle to check the window tint. The vehicle sped away and officers did not pursue because it was not a "pursuable offense," Sullivan said.

A short time later, residents on Burlington Avenue called 911 after seeing two people jump out of a vehicle and take off running.

Sullivan said it turned out to be the suspected vehicle that fled the traffic stop. He said the driver was taken into custody, but the passenger remains on the loose.
