Police were searching for a gunman late Saturday night after a man was found shot.
Police and medics were called just after 11:15 p.m. to the 400 block of Xenia Avenue in Dayton, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center.
The gunshot victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital. His name and severity of injuries was not immediately available.
According to initial reports, the shooter had a small black handgun. He was described as a white man in his 30s with an average build wearing a red cap turned backwards, a white T-shirt and basketball shorts, standing between 5 feet 7 and 5 feet 8 inches.
