MONROE — A Mason man was arrested early this morning, June 23, after allegedly driving the wrong way on Ohio 63 and running from officers when they tried to stop him.

Eric Hendley, 21, of Van Buren Drive, Mason, is behind bars in the Butler County Jail today, charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, failure to comply with an order of a police officer and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

According to police reports, Officer Doug Wolf spotted Hendley's 1999 Saturn traveling east in the westbound lanes of Ohio 63 at 3:40 a.m. Wolf attempted to get Hendley to stop by activating his cruiser's lights and sirens, but Hendley continued, driving through two red lights before turning north on American Way, according to Monroe Lt.
