Englewood woman sentenced in overdose death

An Englewood woman was sentenced Thursday in the heroin-related death of 48‐year‐old Kelly L. Vogler of Butler Twp.

Elyssa M. Davis was sentenced to two years in prison on the charge of corrupting another with drugs.

Davis was also sentenced to community control sanctions and the Monday program

in an unrelated case where she was found guilty of tampering with evidence.

An Englewood woman was convicted in connection to the overdose death of a Butler Township man Nov. 2, 2015.

Elyssa Davis, 33, was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter and corrupting another with drugs in connection to the death of Kelly Vogler, 48, who died in his home on Old Springfield Road in Butler Twp.

Prosecutors said Vogler died from acute drug intoxication from a mixture of drugs that were injected into his body with assistance from Davis.

Davis also was accused of purchasing the drug mixture, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office.

Davis is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 8 at 10 a.m.
