Police were investigating the motorcycle rider for trafficking in drugs, and investigators saw him make “hand to hand transactions,” police said. The man had a previous conviction for possession of drugs, police said.
The motorcycle rider fled when a marked police cruiser attempted to stop him. The pursuit began at Breiel Boulevard at Lefferson Road, and the motorcycle struck the tractor trailer shortly after.
The motorcyclist’s name has not been released pending notification of family.
