Funeral services set for Greene County double homicide victims

Funeral and visitation services for William “Skip” Brown and Sherri Mendenhall have been set for this weekend.

The two were found shot to death at their rural Greene County duplex just outside Yellow Springs on Sunday. No one has been charged in the case.

Services for Brown, 44, will be held on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Funeral Home in Yellow Springs. Brown is survived by his mother, father, brother and other family and friends.

Brown was the owner of The Legendary Roofing Company and project manager and owner of Bahnsen Gallery.

Visitation for Mendenhall will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home in Dayton, with service to follow at 1 p.m.

The family requested donations in her memory be made to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation or The American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, noting she was passionate about both causes.

Mendenhall is survived by her four sons and eight grandchildren.
