Jessica Grieco, 33, of Harrison Twp. told police the gun went off when she was trying to wrestle it away from her fiancé.

News Center 7's Gabrielle Enright spoke to a woman who said, "That's not true."

Kathy Isenbarger's daughter was married to the homicide victim, Pete Underwood.

"They're legally divorced, but we never divorced him. He is still my son-in-law," she said. "We still maintain a relationship."

Underwood also is the father of her 6-year-old granddaughter.

"He would just come over and hang out. He would sit with me when the kids were at the pool," she said.

Isenberger said she also knows Grieco, and that until February they both would visit.

"Things started changing. She was acting different. She was acting crazy," she said.

In March, Grieco called 911 and told police she accidentally shot Underwood.

In the 911 call recording, Grieco said: "I got the gun and it accidentally went off. He was trying to commit suicide."

Isenbarger said Underwood never would try to hurt himself.

Grieco, who has been jailed since March, was indicted Thursday with reckless homicide, involuntary manslaughter and domestic violence.

'I'm glad she's in jail," said Isenbarger, who attends all of Grieco's court appearances. "I want the maximum. I think I speak for everyone that I want the maximum."
