Grocery thieves’ item of choice: Black and Mild cigars

Two thieves broke into a local grocery store and got away with tobacco products.

Sometime after 2 a.m. Dayton Police responded to the GroceryLand store, 1451 Troy St., on reports of an alarm.

Two white males broke through the front window of the store to gain access to the inside. They took various tobacco products, including Black and Mild cigars, before exiting, police said.

The suspects were inside the store for less than two minutes.

Police are still investigating the break-in.
