The Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced the results of the OVI checkpoint that it conducted last night in Xenia along with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and the Xenia Police Department.
No OVI arrests were made at the checkpoint, which was on West Main Street near Orange Street from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. on Friday.
One motorist who had consumed alcohol was pulled over and checked to see if they were impaired, but were not arrested. In total, 467 motorists passed through the checkpoint.
The Highway Patrol, Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Xenia Police Department urge drivers to continue to plan ahead if planning to consume alcohol and make travel arrangements ahead of time.
“Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired,” they said in a release.
