One motorist who had consumed alcohol was pulled over and checked to see if they were impaired, but were not arrested. In total, 467 motorists passed through the checkpoint.

The Highway Patrol, Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Xenia Police Department urge drivers to continue to plan ahead if planning to consume alcohol and make travel arrangements ahead of time.

“Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired,” they said in a release.
