Husband of missing Springfield woman found dead

UPDATE @ 4:30 p.m.:

According to a Springfield police report, Daniel Romine was found dead in his living room on Dec. 13.

Romine was reportedly on his knees with his face in the couch, according to the report.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office removed Romine’s body to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office where an autopsy was scheduled to be performed, however preliminary results of the autopsy have not been released, a spokeswoman with the coroner’s office said.

INITIAL REPORT:

The husband of a woman who has been missing since 2013 has died, according to Springfield Police.

Springfield police said there is a police report confirming the death of Daniel Romine, however details of the police report were not immediately available, a police supervisor said.

Daniel Romine is the husband of Amanda Ward-Romine, who has been missing since July 5, 2013 and has been the subject of a billboard campaign to help lead to information on her whereabouts.

It’s unclear how this latest development could affect the investigation into Amanda Ward-Romine’s disappearance.
