At least 4 years in prison for man who shot, wounded a man in Dayton

A 62-year-old Dayton man will spend at least four years in prison for shooting and wounding a man.

Stanford D. Straight pleaded guilty to the April 26 shooting of a man in an apartment in the 2000 block of Catalpa Drive. Later, the man was found near a church.

Straight was convicted of felonious assault Tuesday in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court and was sentenced to an “undefinite” term of four to six years, court records posted online Friday show.
