A 36-year-old man who is charged with assaulting two police officers and a medic following a December crash in Trotwood is scheduled to be arraigned in court today.
Darrell Doles of Trotwood was indicted on May 16 for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer; three counts of assault, all felonies; and a misdemeanor drug possession charge, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.
A Trotwood police officer tried to pull over Doles on the evening of Dec. 11, 2018, but he did not stop.
Trotwood police at the time said there was no pursuit, but Doles lost control of his silver 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix a short time later.
He crashed while headed south on North Union Road near Little Richmond Road. His car went off the right side of the road, into the ditch and struck a tree, according to a traffic crash report.
Doles is not in custody and was issued a summons for his arraignment in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
