Bond set for man indicted after Dayton standoff

A judge set bond at $5,000 for a man who was indicted after a standoff on Miami Chapel Road.

Dustin M. Law, 35, of Dayton, is facing charges of felony inducing panic and misdemeanor obstructing official business.

These charges come from an Aug. 27 standoff, where police were called on a domestic violence complaint, only to find that the people they were searching for had left their house and barricaded themselves in a nearby vacant house.

A SWAT detachment was called, and eventually were able to get a man to come out of the house after firing tear gas and pepper balls inside.

A woman who was also in the vacant house was arrested on an active warrant.
