Man arrested in shooting at apartments; another sought

Police were still seeking another person in connection Tuesday.

FAIRFIELD — A 20-year-old man was arrested for a shooting Tuesday in the Camelot East Apartments, according to Fairfield police Lt. Kevin Haddix.

Soon after the 2 p.m. shooting, uniformed Fairfield police officers located Quentin D. Phoenix in a neighboring apartment community. Phoenix was questioned by investigators and was charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault.

He is in Butler County Jail and his arraignment date has not been set.

Police said the shooting was the result of an attempted robbery, and the handgun used in the incident was recovered by investigators. Police are searching for another person involved in the incident.

The victim’s name is not being released at this time, police said. He was taken to an area hospital and his condition is unknown.

After booking, Phoenix will be taken to the Butler County Jail.

Phoenix lives in the 3400 block of Amber Way in Cincinnati, police said.
