Man charged after threatening to kill officer, family

A 54-year-old man is facing charges after police said he threatened to kill an officer, the cop’s family and a judge.

Michael Allen Owensby was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Dayton police on aggravated menacing and aggravated trespassing charges outside of Greater Dayton Premier Management on Wentworth Avenue, records show.

Owensby threatened the officer, his family and an unnamed judge after he was arrested for trespassing outside of GDPM for the second time in a week, according to Dayton police records.

Owensby was placed in a police cruiser after he admitted to trespassing at the Wentworth site. He had also been arrested there on the same charge July 15, according to a police report.

Once inside the cruiser, Owensby said he was a former Marine sniper and made threats about killing the officer, his family and a judge, records show.
